Seminar & Dialog on Domestic Investment
MIDA & SME Corp organized the Seminar & Dialog on Domestic Investment, officiated by The Right Honorable Chief Minister of Sabah and Keynote address by the Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia, the free Seminar was attended by about 800 pariticipants, held at a leading Hotel in Kota Kinabalu. Such an event further boosts the implementation of the Sabah Development Corridor which is now in its two and half years after it was launced at Sepanggar Port, Kota Kinabalu.

SEDIA Is The Authority
CEO SEDIA made it very clear that SEDIA is the authority on the Sabah Development Corridor and it is a private sector initiative besides SEDIA own projects.
Price Of Crude Oil Increases
Crude Oil pric increase from USD40 to more than USD80 resulting in the incrase in the price of petroleum said the Minister of Consumer Affairs and Cooperative of Malaysia.

8% Growth
YAB Prime Minister Of Malaysia, Datuk Najib Tun Razak stated that Malaysia must achieve 8% annual growth to achieve a developed nation status by 2020. Should the global economy improves by 2010 resulting in the increase of our exports we could possible achieve this goal.

A new kid on the block in as far as suppliers of building materials are concerned. Koperasi Usahawan Koridor Sabah Bhd was established to act as a major supplier to the many projects that are going to be implemented int the Sabah Development Corridor.

Agropolitan
Sabah State Government is vigorously promoting 5 Agropolitan projects under the Sabah Development Corridor or SDC. Rice planting is being promoted especially in Kota Belud, a district in the North West of Sabah. Agropolitan projects come under the Agriculture sector of the SDC and Halatuju.
